CLAIRE BEVILACQUA
STICKY FEET "A" Team back on the WCT!!

West Aussie WCT surfer Claire Bevilacqua, who has been using Sticky Feet Surf Wax for some time, has returned as a Team Rider for 2010. After some time freesurfing the earth, she has hit back with an impressive win at Hawaii's Pipeline in the 4-Star WQS Womens Pipeline Pro in April.

Bevo, who is looking fit and in top form for the 2010 WCT season, says

"I have been surfing, sleeping and eating so much lately and putting so much love, energy and focus into my body and health. I knew I had all the tools to win. I have always been taught optimism and gratitude so that's how I prepared my mind this time. I love Hawaii and Pipeline is my favorite wave in the world so the gods shined some light on me "

Congratulations to Bevo from all of us in
the STICKY FEET CREW!

The crew at Margaret River Wax Company have been hard at work!! And not just keeping our current customers happy, but trialing a new wax formula!

We have been extensively trialing for the last twelve months or so and after 100's of hours both in and out of the water, the work has paid off. We can pay credit to the 40 or so local surfers who have been the driving force behind the new formula, giving info on what is needed for a superior surf wax.

We live in Gracetown, near Margaret River, so you can imagine the calibre of surf experince putting this wax through its paces. Crew like Dave Macaulay, Tom Innes, John Davies, Keighley Bremner & Bros', Dave Englert, Hayley Holmes, Ric & Mick Short, The Jakovichs' and plenty more sick young surfers.

We have had some big brain sessions, with plenty of fresh boards and waxes from all over the world. The short of it was they all wanted a wax that humps up and has stickiness. So Phil went back to 'The Lab' thinking 'You want humps? I'll give you humps!'.

The new generation of MRWC Surf Wax was then born. The crew could not believe how it humped up and was still sticky! Phil the realist told em 'Before you get all pumped, get out there and get it in the water!' Since then, there has been non-stop talk around town. And Phil's "Secret Wax Laboratory" has not stopped. The next step was to get water temperature ranges tested and get it out there for sale!

The new improved formula needed to be marketed differently for the local and international market, so things have taken on a whole new presentation. The new name became "STICKY FEET Surf Wax", and is available in 'Icy Cold', 'Cold', 'Cool', 'Warm' and 'Tropical' formulations.

The new presentation will be posted as soon as printing has been finalised, So keep an eye out for the changes and what is new!! The old formulas will slowly be phased out, but if you like the old wax drop us a line and let us know what ya think. wax@margaretriverwax.com.au
